CANADIAN CONTINGENT. ■ / AUCKLAND'S WELCOMEARRANGED. The Canadian cadet contingent,.Bo strong, under the command of Captain Davey, will arrive iii Auckland by f the Rotorua express at .five p.m. on November 18. Arrangements have now been completed for their entertainment by Auckland citizens. They will, 'be met at the station- by Colonel Logan and tho Mayor (Mr. C. J. Parr). The Victoria League, tho members of which have arranged to billet the lads privately, will then take chargo of the visitors. At two p.m. on Tuesday, the 19th, tho Canadians, with the senior cadet companies, will parade in Princesstreet, and will, march, via Shorthand and Queen Streets to tho Town Hall, where a civic reception will be held at 2.30. After this function, the contingent, will proceed to the Domain for inspection by Colonel Logan. Wednesday has been left open for the visitors to make arrangements for a display of drill in public. On Thursday at 9.30 a.m. tho cadets will be taken for a harbour excursion on the defence steamer Lady Roberts, and in the afternoon the members of the Auckland Automobile Association will take the boys for a motor run round tho city and surrounding districts. The cars will probably make. St. Heliers Bay a meetingplace at four p.m., where the visitors will be entertained at afternoon tea. The cadets will leave for Vancouver by the Zealandia on the Friday at- five p.m. As the Prime Minister will be in Auckland on the 19th, the Mayor intends to ask him to be present at the civic reception at tho Town Hall on that date. THE VISIT TO HAMILTON. [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN correspondent.] Hamilton, Friday. Captain McTaggart, of the Canadian Cadet Contingent, arrived in Hamilton today in connection with the forthcoming visit of the cadets. He conferred with the secretary of tho Victoria League regarding the welcome to be tendered to the contingent. The cadets will arrive at Frankton by the Main Trunk express on Friday next", and will leave the same afternoon for Rotorua.
