MESSAGE FROM THE SEA.
SIGNATURE TO BE VERIFIED.
{BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday. The message in a bottle purporting to have been signed by a member of the crew of the missing dredge Manchester was received by the Marine Department to-day. It is written in violet ink pep'cil, on a piece of foolscap roughly cut to notepaper size. Tho message is being sent to the Lyttelton Harbour Board, to compare the signature with that of Lambert, which is in the Board's possession.
