London, November 7. James Gale, a barman, and George Hayes, porter, have confessed to the i taxi : cab robbery in Edgware.RoadThey were remanded together with ; Leslie Gale, a pawnbroker's assist- . ant, who was also arrested in connection with the robbery. Three thieves, who entered a jeweller's shop in Edgeware Road .on October 14, inspected a £50 ring, and then presented revolvers at the head of the manager. The robbers stunned the manager with the i butts of their revolvers and ran into a waiting taxi-cab with the ring. One, mounting the footboard, held : a revolver ) against the driver's body and forced him to drive to a quiet corner of Finsbury Circus, where the thieves alighted and decamped.
