REMUERA ROAD BOARD.

DING FOR TRAMWAYS. Tirn Remneia Road Board met last evening. Present: Messrs. J. G. Rutherford (in the chair), E. Bond, J. B. Patcrson, and P. Spencer. It was resolved, on the motion of Messrs. Bond and Paterson, to take a poll of ratepayers to ascertain whether a loan of £7000 should be raised, to form, kerb and channel the road in connection with tho extension in the Great South Road. Mr. Spencer gave notice to move that a poll be taken to ascertain whether a loan of £7000 should be obtained for road works in connection with the extensions of the tramway in Victoria Avenue and Mountain Road. A petition signed by a large number of ratepayers asked that" a road be made to give access from the Rawhiti Estate to Oxford-street, and it was decided to grant the reque.'t.
