BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY

Business on the Stock Exchange showed a slight improvement yesterday. \ In mining lines Waihi Grand Junctions were exchanged at 21s 9d, leaving farther sellers at 22si and buyers at 21a 6d. Talismans were sought at 38s 3d, but sellers quoted 38s 6d. Buyers of Waihis offered 32s 9d, and there were sellers at 33s 6d. WaihiPaeroas were in demand at 30s, but sellers held for 33s 6d. Waiotahis were sold at 2s lid. In investment stocks Northern Steauships (paid up) were done at 15s, Auckland Tramways (ordinary) at 255, Wisenan and Son?, Limited (ordinary), at 19s 6d, Wilsons Portland Cements (ordinary) at 35a 6d, and Grey and Menzios, Limited, at 7a. New Zealand Jnsnrancea were inquired for at 93s 6d, and National Insurances at 40s 6d, but no sellers quoted in either case.
