BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY

Yesterday's market on the Stock Exchange failed, to show any improvement on that of the previous week, very quiet conditions ruling. Waihis were placed at 34s 6d. and more were sought at this figure, sellers holding for 35s 3d. For Waihi Grand Junctions 22s 9d was paid, sellers closing at 235. and buyers at 22s 6d. Talismans Consolidated.-; sold at 39s 6d and (39s 3d), closing sellers quoting 39s 9d, and closing buyers 395. Business in investment stocks was limited to reported sales of Northern Steamships (con.) at 7s 3d. and Grey and Menzies (ord.) at ss.
