PENSIONS FOR VETERANS.
While giving every credit to the Government for introducing an Act for providing pensions for veterans. I regret that the Minister who introduced tho measure did not leave somo expressions unsaid, or had expressed himself differently. In regard to those who are possessed of a moderate income the pension may be reduced to a vanishing point, or watered down, to a few pounds per annum, reminding one of the summer formula for destroying cryptogamic life, 4 plus 5 canals 36 minus (40)- Thero are numbers of veterans who would havo preferred a much reduced pension given as an act of justice. Veteeas.
