AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION'S ■MEETING. EDEN TARE PURCHASED, At a meeting of the committee of tho Auckland Cricket Association this week it was decided to hold the annual meeting of the association on October 2. It was also decided to confirm tho action of the sub-committee in purchasing Eden Park, which is now the property of the association. CHURCHES' ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of tho Auckland Churches' Cricket Association wan held at the Y.-U.C.A. last evening, Mr. B. li. Stewart presiding over an attendance of over 60 members. The annual report and balancesheet were read and adopted, and showed that the past season had been most satisfactory from every point of view. Twenty teams had competed, W.Y.M.I. winning tho senior championship, St. Peter's the second grade championship, and St. David's tho third grade championship. _ The season ended. tho balance-sheet showing a credit of £13. The prospects for the coming season are very bright, and it is anticipated that good entries will be received. The election of officers resulted as follows: — Patron. Hon. Geo. Fowlds; president, Mr. F. iifx!le; secretary Mr. O. Byre; treasurer, Air. Jones. MEETING OF ST. PETER'S CLUB. The annual general meeting of St. Peter's Cricket Club was held in tho Oliui-ca. Ilall on Tuesday evening last, Mr. I'. W. Brinsden occupying the chair. The annual rePort, which was adopted, congratulated members on a successful season only one match having been lost. Officers for the ensuing season were clected as follows: — I aton. Hon.' Geo. Fowlds; vice-patrons, Mr. Geo. all i ol . l ' and Dr. Keith; president, Mr. I. W * Brmsden; secretary, Mr. A. GRAFTON CLUB. The annual meeting of the Grafton Club will he held in St. Sepulchre's Parish Hall this evening at eight o'clock. An invitation is extended to all intending members. WAITEMATA CLUB. The Waitemata Club will hold its annual meeting' in the Pariah Hall, Northcote, on Monday evening- next. Members and intending members are requested to attend.
