SUPREME COURT SITTINGS.

WHERE SHALL THEY BE HELD?

[BY TELEGRAPH. —PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday. The Full Court is sitting this afternoon to hear argument in two cases, Scott v. Gallagher, and E. Mersar and Company v. Welsh. The question is as to the true interpretation of Rule 7 of the Supremo Court code, which states that where there are sittings of the Supremo Court held in more than one town in the same judicial district, the place of trial should bo the town "moat convenient to the residence of the defendant."

Upon tho answer to this question depends the place of trial for Supreme Court actions coming from many towns north of Marton, on the Main Trunk line, the question being whether aotions should bo tried at Wangantii or Palmerston North.

In the first case L. Cohen appears for the plaintiff and W. H. D. Bell for the defendant. In the second case C. C. Hutton appears for the plaintiff and A. R. Meek for the defendant. The case is proceeding.
