CHARGED WITH ASSAULT.
[BY TELEOEAPn.-PBES&_ ASSOCIATION.] Nhlsox, Friday. At the Takaka Court yesterday a child aged nino was charged with assault on the information of the father of the child alleged to have been assaulted The magistrate (Mr. Evans) characterised the laying of such an information as scancla . lous. It was disgraceful that a mere ' children's quarrel should be so magnified. Tho information was withdrawn.
