THE RETIRING CONDUCTOR.
[BT TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] : WEUJUfGxbsi Friday. Mb. Robert Parker, who is retiring from the conductorship of the Wellington Musical Union, was entertained at asocial to-night and presented with a purse of 150 sovereigns. The presentation was made by Mr. G. Shirteliffe, president of the union. Bishop Sprott was among the speakers. Mr. Parker has been closclv identified with music in Wellington for the last 33 years.
