i A BIG CEREMONY AT WAIROA, J [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] £ Wairoa (H. 8.), Friday. •The ceremony of driving the first pile of the Wairoa Harbour works by Sir James Carroll will take place on May 20. '* The Maoris are arranging a big hui and the settlers a banquet to the Ministers and Sir James Carroll in the evening, when the latter will be presented with a testimonial in recognition of his long services to the country and the borough, Sir James Carroll having been born in Wairoa. It is expected that the demonstration *ill be the biggest of the kind ever held in Wairoa. , 4%. —
