THE ENGLISHMEN'S TOUR.
DOUGLAS SUMS UP THE TEAMS HORDERN BEST GOOGLIE BOWLER OF THE DAY. By Telegraph.— Press Association.—Copyright, Sydney, March 4. The English cricketers left yesterday to catch the steamer for Adelaide. Douglas attributes the success of the Englishmen chiefly to the team pulling together. The bowling gave the side a winning advantage, but the batting did not reach English expectations. The Australians' batting outlook is promising, but the bowling outlook is less so. There is hardly any '" flighty " bowling, and very little good length. Hordern, says Douglas, is the best googlie bowler of the day. The Australian fielding is far below the customary standard.
