AIKEN DEFEATS LIN DRUM. Br Telegraph'.— Association.— (Beceired March 4. 12.30 a.m.) London, March 3. In the billiards match of 16,000 up between Lindrum and Aiken, the latter ran out when Lindrum had scored only 9028.
PEALL CHALLENGES GRAY.
London, March 2.
. Peall, ex-billiards champion, has challenged Gray to a match, including unlimited spot strokes.
As the result of Inman's innuendoes, the Billiards Control Club was asked to inquire into the StevensonGray matches. The club refused.
One of last week's cablegrams stated that Inman, when challenged to play Gray a match of 18.000 up for £450 a-side refused, saying. " Gray played very differently against me compared to his play again.it Stevenson. No doubt if I played again Gray would reproduce more big breaks."
