PROVINCES OF CANADA.
EXTENSION OF BOUNDARIES. By Telegraph.— Press Association.—Copyright. Ottawa, February 27. Resolutions have been introduced into the Federal Parliament which propose adding Ungava (the district which includes most of the Labrador Peninsula) to Quebec province, thus making Quebec the largest province in the Dominion, a distinction hitherto held by British Columbia.
The province of Ontario secures a large slice of Keewatin (the district lying northwards of Manitoba), while Manitoba has already secured an extension of boundaries.
