BROKEN HILL HOTEL RIOT.
LED BY EXCITED WOMEN. By Telegraph.— Prw« Association.— Sydney, February 28. PROCEEDINGS at Broken Hill in connection with the hotel employees' strike are exciting. Batches of strikers paraded the streets and marched to the different hotels, where many hostile demonstrations weio made. They raided the Commercial Hotel, wrecked the diningroom, invaded the kitchen, ato a quantity of food, and threw the remainder on the floor,, where they strewed it with pepper. A crowd of over 1000 took possession of the main street. Women leaders, intoxicated with excitement, behaved in an extraordinary manner, and the police with difficulty prevented an actual riot. A conference of representatives of the parties to the dispute is proceeding.
