TRAIN-WRECKING DESIGNS.
DASTARDLY ATTEMPTS FAIL.
By Telegraph Press Association.— Copyright. San Francisco, October 29. An attempt to wreck 'the Santa l e express made at Colton, California, a tree being placed on the lines crossing a bridge. The train passed over safely. A similar attempt was made at Edward, California. A quantity of dynamite was placed on the railway, but the absence of the proper caps prevented an explosion, and several trains passed over safely.
