VERY FAST MONOPLANING.
BRITISH AERONAUT'S FEAT. By Telegraph.'—Pre=3 Association.— Copyright. (Received October 31, 12.5 a.m.) London, October 30. The British aeronaut, Mr. S. F. Cody, in a monoplane of his own invention, flew 255 miles at Aldershot for the Michelin Track Cup and a prize of £500. He maintained an average height of 1200 ft, and a speed of 51 miles an hour. During the last hour he had a continuous struggle with a gusty wind to maintain the machine's balance. On alighting, Mr. Cody was carried shoulder high to the garage.
