KINGSLAND METHODIST BAZAAR.

A bazaar and sale of work in aid of - the fund established with the object of reducing the debt on the Kingsland Methodist parsonage, was opened yesterday afternoon by Mr. A. C. Caughey at the Jubilee Hall, The ceremony was well attended. • The hall was very beautifully decorated with flags', evergreens, and flowers, and Mr. Caughey, in a brief speech, took occasion to compliC ment the workers in connection with the bazaar . upon the large number, -excellent quality, j and tasteful display of the goods offered for sale. The stalls were presided over by the following ladies and gentlemen: I Ladies' Guild stall, Mesdames T. ! Hodgson, J. Wakerley, West, and Partington y;' fancy goods, Mrs. Tremam, assisted by a ; number of young ladies ; crockery , arid j household linen, etc., Mrs. B. Kayes; lollie stall, Mrs. J. Kayes and Miss Tuttj flower J stall, Mrs. Beatt and Miss Aspden; kitchen , stall, Mesdames Letcher and- A. Wilson and . Miss A. ' • Ros3er; refreshment stall, Mesdames Ellisdon, Berry <. (2), ' and Wright; ice cream stall, Mr. W," Taylor; bran tub, Mrs. W. Taylor. The jumble stall,. art gallery, and competitions are Lin charge of members of the Young ■ Men's Bible Class. A phrenological exhibition is carried on by Messrs. Kayes and Smith, while Mr. F. Harrison controls the bazaar's telegraphic department and Mr. Dadson looks • after a fine exhibition of fretwork. Excellent business was done during the afternoon and evening.. The bazaar will be open this afternoon and . evening.
