Mr. John McVat, of Napier, whose illness, has ; delayed the reassembly of thai Racing Commission, of which he is a member, is said to be making a good recovery. The Commission will probably meet about the end' of this; week. The House of Representatives, after receiving its report, may be able to do something even in the end of the session rush to relieve the situation in regard to some, of the country racing clubs.
