WATER EXCURSION.

Beautiful weather favoured the water excursion yesterday which the City football team tendered to their friends and supporters and members of other teams. Leaving the Ferry Tee about 10 a.m., the party on board the p.s. Lyttelton journeyed to Home Bay, Motutapu, spending about 2 hours en route in fishing. During the voyage home Mr. Geo. Tyler, on behalf of . the City team, presented Mr. W.. Arnold with a very handsome fruit bowl,' as a token of appreciation by the men of Mr. Arnold's attention to the team during the past season. Mr. Arnold suitably responded. The trip was enlivened with music by the Bavarian band.
