HAVOC BY BUSH 1 FIRES.

TWO THOUSAND SHEEP BURNED.

Several stations in trie Charlevillo district (Queensland), suffered severely from bush-fires last week, Ularunda losing 2000 sheep by fire. It is stated emus were seen running about quite blind, with their feathers badly burned. Immense areas of grass were destroyed on Boatman, Clifton, and other stations on Nebine Creek. Old residents state they never saw such an immense conflagration. The flames are estimated to have been 20ft to 30ft high, making it impossible to cope with them. A large fire occurred at Yandarlo. It is known that 300 or 400 sheep perished in the flames, and possibly there were many more lost. At Kurrajong, Cameron and Boy's wood-cutting camp, including tents, bedding, etc., was burnt out.
