NEW CITY MORGUE.
TENDERS INVITED.
The plans and specifications for the erec- : tion of the new city morgue on the hospital grounds were approved by the City Council at its meeting last evening, and it was decided to invite tenders forthwith. ' The plans provide for the erection of an up-to-date building, 66ft long by 32ft wide. The building will be divided into eight compartments, comprising a courtroom 20ffc 9in by 15ft, coroner's office lift 6in by 15ft, public writing-room, ladies' waiting-room, public mortuary lift by 17ft, public post-mortem room 17ft by 12ft, hospital mortuary 23ft by 17ft, Mid hospital post-mortem room 17ft by 12ft 9in.
