The arm of a man was found in the harbour floating off the Devonport >« na'rf yesterday. Part of the shirt and singlet was on the limb, which is believed to have belonged to the body of Mr. Patrick Walsh, a Tuakau farmer, which was found floating in the harbour on Monday, both arms being missing from the body. * c
Two cases of desertion of wife and family came before the Auckland Charitable Aid Committee yesterday afternoon. In both cases the destitute families, whose breadwinners had gone abroad, applied for assistance, which was granted, Regret was expressed that the men could not be brought back, owing to the expense.
