Matches between teams chosen by the captain (C. W. Mcßride), and secretary (A. 11. Nicoll) were played on Wednesday, the secretary's team winning by 11 games to.seven. The details- of the matches are as under, the players in the captain's side being mentioned first in each instance:— boat Nicoll, four up and two to play; Caddy beat Bower; Muir beat Hindmarsh, five up and three to play: Wells beat Middleton, live up and four to play; Wilkinson lost to ,V. Banks, three up and two to play; R. .1. Roberts lost to Caldwell, six up and five to play; Richardson lost to X. Banks; Miss Lundon lost to M'iss K. Willis; Miss P. Ferguson beat P. Forbes; Miss Willis lost to Miss Middleton; Mrs. Souter lost to Mrs. Croxford; Mrs. Banku lost to Miss Richardson; Miss Vealo lost to Miss K. Swayne; .Miss G. Roberts and Miss B. Taylor halved; M'rs. Nicoll beat Miss Pickering; Miss Cox and Miss H. Wells halved; Mrs. Thompson lost to Mrs. Bunyard; Miss Bull lost to Miss Keesing.
