An Austrian named* Desanti fired a revolver among a grdup of priests in i the basilica of St. Peter's Cathedral. I None of the priests were hurt, but a I policeman was wounded. Desanti states that he served a long term of imprisonment for two murders, and that he has been in Rome since August awaiting an opportunity to shoot the Pope. It is believed that Desanti is insane. On account of this act of sacrilege it will be necessary to reconsecrate the basilica. '.•'";' i
