CONDOR ARRIVES FROM SAMOA.
It is now about 18 months since the German warship ; Condor last visited Auckland.: During that period the Condor ' has "visited; Hobart, Melbourne and Sydney,, and the various German possessions ' in' the Pacific, with Samoa as her headquarters; She left Samoa on January 14, and arrived in Auckland Harbour at nine a.m. yesterday. As the . Condor ;". entered the port she fired a salute of ;21 guns, which was re-turned-by the forts at North Head. In ' the afternoon the German Consul (Mr. Carl Seegner); paid an official visit to Commander Bene. When the Consul 'was leaving the vessel the usual salute of seven guns was fired. : This morning Commander Bene will probably return the Consul's visit, and also call on the Mayor of Auckland. • „ The Condor will remain at Auckland
