FORESTERS' COURT.
A successful and interesting gathering of Foresters took place at the Leys Instituteon Friday evening, when over 500 were present to assist in the opening of a new court in Ponsonby. The district officers were present, and every court in the Auckland district was well represented. After the formal ceremonies the. D.C.R-, Bro. G. Fell, proceeded with the initiation of new members assisted by the district officers and Past District Chief Rangers. The court then proceeded to the election of officers, and the following were duly installed:—O.K., Bro. W. Rowland, D.5.0.R.; S.C.R.. Bro. Brooks; secretary, Bro. Nelson Culpan; treasurer. Bro. E." Knight; S.W., Bro. F. Newald; J.W., Bro. 0. Culpan; 5.8., Bro. McCathie; J. 8., Bro. H. D. Williams; medical officers, Bros. Drs. McMaster and Darby; delegate to district meeting, Bro. Rowland. It was decided that the name- of the new court be Court West End, No. 9279. After minor matters were disposed of the "Foresters' tiro" was tendered to the officers and members of the new court by the visitors, after which Court West End returned the compliment. In responding, the visitors congratulated the court, upon its successful opening. It is anticipated that within a few weeks tho membership will be over 100.
