"THE DOLLAR PRINCESS."

The box plans for "The Dollar Princess," to bo staged for tho first eight nights of the coming J. O. Williamson 20 nights' season of comic opera, will bo opened at Wildman and Arey's this morning, the opening performance being fixed for Friday next. The music by Leo Fall, which is described as being of a gracious and lyrical quality, flows continuously through three acts accompanied by a dominating and sigularly expressive waltz melody quite as captivating as "The Merrv Widow." The Dollar Princess" is a delightful "skit" on tho" relations oi American multi-millionaires and certain impecunious British noblemen. The plutocratic oil king in question is Harry Q. Condor, and it is his whim that every servant in his house shall bear an old-world title. His butler is a duke, his groom an earl, his footman a baronet,, his ohaffeur a viscount, his housemaids dukes' daughters, and so forth.. His relations towards his domestics are peculiar. They are*on the most friendly terms with their master, but resent the slightest familiarity on his part. < Such a menage provides many comical situations. During tho season will bo also played: "A Waltz Dream," "A Knight for a Day,' and "The Merry Widow," the box plans for which attractions will bo opened next week. WILD WEST PICTURES. His Majesty's Theatre was again well filled'l on Saturday night, when the. film representing Buffalo Bill and Wild West and other I novelties wore presented for the fifth time. Tho matineo also drew a big house, and tho children followed the thread of stories with keenness and frequent expressions ,of approval or displeasure. Tho last three nights are announced, and a special farewell will be provided for Wednesday.. Tho box plan is at j Wildman and Arey's. ; I -_ FULLERS' PICTURES. A large and enthusiastic audience was pre-, sent on Saturday evening, the matinee also being well attended. Another complete series will be presented this overling, when some of the host films Messrs. John Fuller and Sons have in their nossession: will be screened. ■ There will be dramatic and scenic studies,"-comio pictures, and instructive subjects well calculated to suit all tastes. A matinee will bo given on Wednesday afternoon. ; WEST'S PICTURES. There was a large attendance at; West's Pictures at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday > evening. The little folks were also pleasantly ontertainod at tho matinee.. "The -Garden of Roses" is cleverly and artistically presented, and is quite distinct from the Ordinary film. The other? subjects found considerable favour, and:';■wore warmly received. A matinee will be given. next Wednesday, at 2.30, when the weekly change of programme will be made. ■_ OPERA HOUSE. A large ■;, audience .' greeted. tho excellent vaudeville programme presented on Saturday evening.; : A special attraction is offered to-night,*-when Hassan, a Hindu illusionist, will make his first appearance. : . . " WONDERLAND." . Many hundreds. of people visited 'Wonderland " on Saturday evening. Next Wednesday, evening the second "Great White" carnival will be presented. -', An entirely new racing '■':-. programme will -bo v presented, including, as a star feature, the champion twomile handicap. For this a large number of entries have been received, and, given "careful handicapping, an exciting contest should result. The hurdle-racing / should also bo sensational, „ the '.L hurdles , being _1 miniature fences,'*- and considerable skill is necessary to safely negotiate these obstacles. \ The programme" will conclude with a repetition of the ■■-"- Illuminated Maze." The Royal Rink was crowded with skaters throughout Saturday, ; and! the delightfully cool atmosphere prevailing in the building enabled them to thoroughly enjoy the ranking. The management intend holding'an-, other ; black uiid white night, the last being so successful. They havo invited the offioers of the French man-of-war for that evening, and they, in company with the Acting-Con-sul, will" occupy the vice-regal box. ; The prizes won at the last black and white even-' ing will be presented on Thursday, i As there were a few, ladies present last Thursday who were not robed in the desired dress of white the, management announce that such' dresses are preferred in future. EDEN PARK PICTURES, -A splendid programme was presented at Eden Park lon Saturday evening, when an entirely new set •of pictures were screened. The large audience showed that this resort is rapidly gaining in popular favour.
