CANADiAN PARTY METHODS
By Telesrraph.—Press Association.—-Copyright (Received December 30, 11-50 p.m.) Ottawa, December 30. At the Vancouver inquiry into the influx of Chinese the evidence disclosed the ' existence of a Liberal Patronage Committee, a body which recommended official appointments to the Ottawa Government.
When Collector Bowell was suspended this committee telegraphed to Ottawa asking for the reinstatement of a Chinese interpreter, who is also involved with Bowell in connection with the scandal.
