THE ANARCHIST GANG.
ALL BUT TWO ARRESTED.
BOMBS FOE RUSSIAN USE.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.— London, December 29. Three men and two women, all Russians, were remanded at the Guildhall 011 a charge of being concerned in the Houndsditch outrage.
Detectives are searching for the two remaining principals. The translation of the letters found at Stepney is not yet completed, but sufficient is known to open a new avenue of inquiry in London and on the Continent.
Government experts are of opinion that though conceivably the contents of the bottles found in Merountzeff's lodgings were used in manufacturing explosives on a small! scale, there is nothing to indicate that they were actually manufactured.
The police consider that the Houndsditch burglary was planned to obtain money for the manufacture of bombs on a large scale for export to Russia.
A large consignment of explosives from the Thames has been seized at St. Petersburg.
