SALE OF WORK.
ST. AIDANTS PARISH HALL.
A most successful sale of work in aid of the funds of St. Aidan's -Parish Hall was opened in that building yesterday afternoon by the Hon.' E. Mitchelaon. The hall was charmingly decorated. Each stall in the main part of the hall represented a flower trailing over a lattice (white). Afternoon tea and strawberries and cream were dispensed on the stage and in a marquee near the entrance. The following ladies presided over the various stalls:—Fancywork: Mesdames Keeble-, Hall, Madill, Hunt, and Pond, Misses Macdonald and Crowther. Plaimvork: Mesdames Abbott, Walker, Bas3 and Miss Combes. Girls' Friendly Societystall: Mesdames Winstone, Culling, Turnbull, and Dalton, Misses Herrold and Scott. Strawberries and cream: Mesdames Ed. Horton, Ernest Bloomfield, E. O'Rorke, assisted by a number of young ladies. Produce: Mesdames Whitney, Duvall, Misses Chapman, Roes, and Ciieeseman. . Icecream: Mis. Proude, Misses Hanna, Newton, and Cullington. Afternoon tea: Mesdames Buchanan, Mark, and Cuthbcrtson. Sweets: Mrs. borough, Misses Gregory, Brown, and Wamock. The Noah's Ark was in charge of Miss Smallfield. The boys' stall was managed by Masters Harry Turnbull, Roy McCullagh, and Victor Clark. Fish pond: Misses McCullagh, Browne, and Clark. The sale will be continued this evening, when the Bavarian Band will provide music.
