VETERANS' HOME BOARD. [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. The annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Veterans' Home was held to-day. Lord, Islington presidedColonel Collins was elected hon. secretary (vice Sir Wm. Russell, now in England). The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The Governor was elected president, and the Hon. E. Mitchelson hon. treasurer. The latter and Mr. J. H. B. Coates were appointed trustees. The capital fund increased • during the year by £638, but general subscriptions fell slightly. Additions and renovations cost £548. The average number of resident veterans has been 40, principally New Zealand and Crimeai. It was resolved to carry out sanitary improvements at the home.
