FATAL FIRE.
DRAPERY SHOP BURNT DOWN.

London, September 11. During a fire at Wallace and Hughes' drapery establishment in Brixton Hoad last night the stairways were made impassable by flames and smoke, and a number of the female employees, who slept in dormitories in the upper floors, were compelled to jump on to the roadway.
One was killed and three others were injured.
