v BESCUED BY BLUEJACKETS. t- .- ./it . ; ..... » ; ft Pre TELEGRAPH. ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Monday. A yacht containing Donald McGillivray : and his son Roderick, James McCarthur, ( J. Maines, and J. Taylor, capsized in the harbour yesterday. The yacht was at the time in the vicinity of H.M.S. Encounter. Lieut. Elmsley ordered a skiff out, and lance-Corporal William Cook jumped -from the warship's side, but, finding the
mm* too rough and the distance too great, : returned to the ship. The man-o'-war's ■crew succeeded in getting all of the men into their boats, but were only just in ; time in two cases. Great commendation is due to the crew of the Encounter.
