Nothing definite can be ascertained whether it is intended to retain the wholeof the grounds as an annex to the residence, or whether part is to be handed o ver for the use of the University or Grammar School. It is understood Cabinet has not yet reached a decision on this point. " It- is interesting to note that during the past decade the time spent by various Governors in Auckland has averaged two -and a-half months per annum, this in mite of the fact that official duties have compelled them to spend a certain and considerable portion of their time in Wellington.
