As a result of the Full Court's decision,' nine miners' officials, who were fined £100, be an'alternative of two'months' imprisonment,' have surrendered) and have been conveyed to Maitlarid Gaol, to serve tho sentences -'passed s 'upon them. . -■•' Shortly before surrendering himself, one of the miners, named Pease, gallantly rescued a man who got in front of a tramcar. Pease dashed to his assistance. Both were knocked down, but escaped without injury.' The South Clifton mine, after a stoppage of five months, line restarted work. Williamson and Phillips, the two men over whom the trouble arose-; amongst 'those taken back, were treated to a hostile demonstration by a large crowd, among whom women were prominent.
