MILITARY ARRANGEMENTS.

The arrangements suggested by the Auckland municipality -for the reception of Lord Kitchener in Auckland have now been definitely confirmed." On arrival by the Main Trunk express next: Tuesday morning the Field-ilarshal will be met by the Mayor, town clerk, and councillors. The Garrison Artillery will furnish a guard 'of honour of '100 rank and filo and three officers, to he on the arrival platform of tho Auckland railway station at; 6.40 a.m.. The remainder of the Garrison Artillery and other troops, under the' command of the coast defence commander (LieutenantColonel' Patterson), will line the streets on either side, at three paces interval, from the station to Custom-street East, via Queen-street,t into Shortland-street, as far as numbers will permit. , The: line on either side will then be taken up to the Northern Club by mounted troops, extended to twe horses' length. They will be detailed wher the troops are in camp.
