WELLINGTON TOWN HALL.
TENDERS FOR HOLIDAY DATES.
[■ BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN* CORRESPONDENT.]
Wellington. Monday. Public tenders are to lie called for the> lease of the Wellington Town Hall on all the principal holiday nights. This decision has been come to by the City Council in consequence of certain people having in the past pencilled in dates of holidays in the Town Hall register', and then refused to fulfil their undertakings. Quite apart from this aspect, however, there is tho experience of Sydney and other municipalities to justify the Council in making tho change. On a recent hol-'day in Sydney the municipal authorities, it is stilled, let their Town Hall by tender for a rental that was nearly double that of their ordinary tariff rate. ' ■
