NELSON EN FETE.
FARE WELLING LORD PLUNKET.

Nelson*, Monday. The town was en fete to-day on the occasion of the farewell visit of the Governor. The presentation of an address of welcome to Lord Plunket took place during the forenoon, when a procession of friendly societies and citizens was held, the principal streets being draped with flags. The vice-regal party were entertained at luncheon, and an inspection of public institutions took place during the afternoon. Lord Plunket is being entertained at a Masonic function to-night. His Excellency will be taken to Cable Bay to-morrow. A citizens' conversazione will be - held to-morrow evening, and the visitors will depart on Wednesday. ;
