The finil heats in connection with the Auckland Rowing Club's tiial fonts for trophies presented by Mr. A. lvohn (vice-president) were rowed< off last evening. The first heat proved ;, rather an easy win for Bloomfleld's' crew, with Sfrickett's second and,.Murray's u poor third. 11l the second heat Hornibrooke and Cannon competed, Cannon winning by a ' length. Ts The third heat was • won by King's' ercw. In the final crews stroked by Bionmfield, King. and Cannon faced the starter, and after a ncck-and-ncck " go" from .start .to finish Bloomfleld's crew proved 'superior,' being'"a bare length awa\ from King, with Cannon three lengths away. The winning crew consisted of W. Rloomfield (stroke), J. A. Gentles (3), M. J- Walsh (2), S. Willis (bow), and Gorden Wilson (cox). The deputy-captain (Mr. W. Barber) gave every satisfaction' as starter. .• . . -
