SAILING.
OTAHUHU CLUB.
The Otahuhu Sailing Club held their first race this season in most favourable,weather, a strong breeze allowing the competing boats splendid chances to show their speed. Five yachts started: Izibu 40m., Slug 40iu., .Shamrock 23m., •Valkyrie 18m., Aonia scr. . 'Hie result' was:— Aoma, 1; Valkyrie, 2; , Shamrock, 3." The other two boats did not finish. - The timekeeper was Mr. ,T. Wilson. Much interest is being'taken; in the attempt to revive the ,sailing races, and future events are likely to call forth keen competition. .
