REVIVAL AT REEFTON. [B7 TELEGRAMS —PRESS ASSOCIATION:] Reefton, Saturday. A revival has taken place in mining in the Reefton district. In the Keep-it-Dark mine, shut up pending repairs to shaft, a, party, while ; prospecting a bouldery track,, struck some quartz showing rich gold. If a permanent reef has been struck, ft means' a' new lease of life to the mine. Three 1 prospecting areas have aeen taken up at Lanky Creek, close by, md three or four reefs have been located. One is stated to bo 12ft wide. Local miners have, taken up Anderson's lease, next the Golden Fleece property, And. intend putting ', in a tunnel to /strike the lost Anderson's reef. The Consolidated group properties have never ■ looked so well, and mining in Reefton has not been so hopeful for 10 years. ■: Experienced labour is also none too plentiful.
