INVESTMENT OF SYDNEY CAPITAL. • Sydney, February 19. A company representing some of the leading shipping and colliery interests has been formed in Sydney to work a , coal mine on Powlett River, Victoria. The company has secured 1400 acres near the Victorian state mine, and expects to start at an early date. .1 ' i '•■•■''■ ' •-'■:" ; The reason assigned for the formation is , that Victorian legislation is, more favourable to mining operations, and no bar is offered■'- to . the employment of free labour. There is, therefore, less risk of shipping and other industries being blocked in the event of strikes in other centres, » '," •, ••'-*. '•
