At the Police Court .yesterday, before Messrs. R. Hobbs and H. Schofield, J.P.'s, Nicholas Saunders was charged with travelling on a tramcar belonging to the Auckland Electric Tramways Company, Limited, and avoiding. to pay his fare, and, further, with refusing to leave the platform when requested to do so by the conductor. He was convicted and ordered to pay the costs; of the prosecution. / James McCullough was charged with wilfully travelling beyond the section while on an Onehunga car. Defendant stated that he.-Was so engrossed in certain literature that he was unconsciously carried beyond his destination. The information was dismissed.
