| HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. There was a good attendance at-His Majesty's Theatre lastt night, - the attraction being doubtless "Othello," a magnificent picture, interpreted by Italian artists. A knowledge of the dialogue is unnecessary, as the acting is such that comprehension is instantaneous. "Lake Co mo is a picture of a new order, depicting ecenis splendour, and "Heavy Surf," a nautical extravaganza, is full of wild coastal scenery. The comedj department sparkles with such gems as " AntiIrritability Powder" and "No Rest for the Weary," etc. Pathos, humour, and tragedy are artistically blended throughout the programme# which will be-presented again -this evening. A special programme is arranged for Christmas Night, inoluding the engagement of Bignorina Domenica Martinengo, the popular contralto of the Brcscians. • OPERA HOUSE. The picture representing Shakespere's immortal tragedy "of " Othello" is still the chief attraction'" at th© Opera House, good audiences being attracted nightly. The other films shown by Mr. Fuller are also of • a high order. . The programme will be repeated to-night. ROYAL ALBERT HALL. An entire change is announced for tonight of Haywafd's Pictures at the Royal Albert Hall, and in view <of the holiday season a special programme will be screened. The star film is an industrial seascape, depicting the fish trawling of the White Sea. Other subjects are "An American Marriage," " Around Inverness," " How a Dog Saved the Flag," "The Ferryman's Daughter," a quintette of comedy films, and "Bobbie, the Boy Scout." • TIVOLI THEATRE. Another good house lit the Tivoli Theatre was greatly pleased with the excellent b.ul of faro of vaudeville catered by the National Vaudeville Company. All the company acquitted themselves with groat credit. A new artist, Joe Lamb, a recent arrival from England, immediately ingratiated himself with the audience; his comedy work is clean and bright, his hunting song, with the mechanical horso, . evoking roars of laughter. Joe Lamb is bound to become a favourite at the Tivoli. An appropriate vocal and instrumental programme is being arranged for Christmas Night- /" THE "PICTURE GARDEN." A large audience enjoyed the entertainment provided at the "Picture Garden, Devonport, last evening. Tho bioscope pictures wore much applauded, particularly tho fine film, "Logging in Canada," while the several variety turns caused amusement. Preparations are in progress for the presentment of " A Christmas Carol" (by Charles Dickens) on Christmas Day. The management announce that scats may bo reserved at Messrs. Wildman and Arey's for this night only. Early application is necessary, owing to the largo demand. MUSICAL CRUISES. The onlv excursion of this week in connection with tho Musical Cruises will leave the ferry fee at eight to-night. The Garrison Band will perform descriptive selec- ' board. .
