PUKEKURA ROAD BOARD. A special meeting of the Pukekura Road Board was held on Friday, the chairman (Mr. Robert Fisher) presiding. ! The Chairman said the reason he had called members together was to consider what works should be undertaken during the incoming year. He knew more works were required than they had money for, hut still they must do their best with the funds at their disposal. He would like to see £100 earmarked for repayment on account of the high level bridge loan, and members approved of the suggestion. The treasurer (Mr. Veale) submitted an interim financial statement, which showed that out of current revenue there would be a sum of £500 available for expenditure on the roads. After an informal discussion it was decided that the following new works be carried out, and that tenders be called for the same: Forming about two miles of the Parallel Road, repairing about 10 chains of the Bush Road, sanding about 45 chains on Rossiter's Road, repairs and sanding to Ranch's Hill, repairs to Karl's Road, and forming footpaths at Ohaupo. Some additional works require to be done on the Puahoe Road, but in the absence of Mr. Reynolds (who represents that portion of the district) it was agreed to postpone consideration of these. ,•»

FENCOURT DRAINAGE BOARD. : The Foncourt Drainage Hoard met at Cambridge on Friday afternoon, Mr. K. Swayne presiding. Mr. W. E. Clark, of Eureka, waited on the Board and asked what it would contribute towards the cost of cleaning and deepening the outlet of the drain running through the land occupied by his neighbours and himself. He stated that "since the drains at Fencourt and Hautapu had been cleaned and extended the water came down much quicker than formerly and flooded their lands. They proposed raising a loan to do the work of; say, £500, and naturally they wanted the Hautapu and Fencourt Drainage Boards to contribute towards the cost, as both boards would derive benefit. The Board decided to .contribute £5 per annum towards the interest and sinking fund in connection with the proposed loan.
