-Melbourne, November 19. v' Resolutions affirming the policy ;: under the agreement reached by the Defence Conference have been adopted ;■ by the Federal House of Representatives. - i The Loan Bill will be introduced within a fortnight.
The Government does not think any money will be required this year. The keel of the new cruiser will be laid early next year, and'the first instalment of money will not be needed till June. The Admiralty was willing to undertake the financial scheme for the Government, but it was thought desirable not to: proceed that way. / '
