LABOUR COUNCIL'S PROTEST. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] . Dr/NEDiN, Friday. At a meeting of the Trades and Labour Council last evening a motion was passed expressing strong dissatisfaction with the land proposals of the Government, as outlined in the Financial Statement, and hoping that every true Liberal in both Houses would use every legal method to prevent the proposals becoming law. A motion was also passed in favour of a referendum on the question.
