CHRIBTCHUKCH, Tuesday. A prisoner, named Frederick Creager, who escaped from Hanmer prison camp about six weeks ago, was captured this afternoon at Rolleston, where he had been living in a hut made out of woolpacks.

Creager was subsisting on a quantity of preserved meat stolen from the Islington Freezing Works, and also on "damper" made out of pollard and potatoes and cooked in a bucket. He had been filling in his time making horsehair watchguards, of which he had nine when arrested. *
